As week 6 began it appeared the logjam in the flow of bills would lessen and such was the way it went. Week 4: Social Issues Come To The Floor
Few issues raise as much concern as social issues. That was certainly the case this week in the House. Four anti abortion bills started the day and to me they were not difficulties votes given my stand on abortion. I’m glad to report that the scare about violence during the week of the inauguration was greatly overstated. Although there were up to 30 law enforcement personnel in the Capitol, particularly on Wednesday, they were not dispatched because no protestors made an appearance. Cooler heads prevailed.
